About Us
John and Karen Booze, both Washington, DC area natives, embarked on this unique venture with one goal in mind: introduce vacationers and locals alike to a frozen treat far superior in taste and texture than that of ice cream. After 30+ years working for a leading IT Services firm where they met and built a life around, John and Karen decided to retire.  With their previous careers behind them and their youthful spirits abound, they thought to themselves, “what next?” As the result of John and Karen’s invariable desire to start a family business, coupled with their passion for frozen custard, Bodacious Buckets Frozen Custard emerged.

Bodacious Buckets Frozen Custard opened its doors in July 2010.
